Summer is in full swing with a record-breaking July!

We placed 6 cats in furrever homes within the FIRST WEEK of July! Since our last newsletter, we placed 12 more cats. 20 must be our lucky number, because we had our 20th adoption on July 20th! Here are photos of our recently adopted kitties.

Reaching this milestone also gives more cats the opportunity to live in the Cat Cottage during a time when the Houston Humane Society needs more help than ever. They have had to temporarily stop intakes to focus on the care of existing animals at the shelter. Click here to volunteer at the Houston Humane Society. Once you're a volunteer, you can also opt to help at El Gato! Alternatively, you can donate to the Houston Humane Society here.

We were also fortunate enough to be featured on KPRC Channel 2 evening news. Check out our story here. Follow us on social media to keep up with what's happening.

And now, we're revealing our August events calendar! For more event details, please visit the events page

Rosi is 1 year old and she is one of our original gatos that has been with us since opening in April. She has made a lot of progress in the Cat Cottage through socialization with her human friends. Rosi went from being a shy and reclusive cat who wouldn't come out of hiding to the confident and playful cat she is now. Please contact us if you're interested in adopting Rosi. Click here to see all of our current residents.
