Happy Meowlloween!

Fall is here and El Gato is busy making plans. We are planning for our opening expected for March 2016. It's still to early to divulge the plans, but happy to say we have been making purr-sitive progress since closing the Kickstarter campaign. Many thanks to our Kickstarter backers for making this all possible!

We know that March is a long time to wait for adoptable cats and yummy coffee, but you don't have to wait because we are keeping an active events calendar to give ya'll plenty of time with the Houston Humane Society cats. Check out this link to our events calendar.

El Gato's favorite things are cat therapy and yoga therapy so you can expect to see yoga with cats classes offered each month. Houston Humane Society (HHS) is the featured non-profit at next Sunday's Breakfast Yoga Club (BYC). Come out and support HHS and stop by El Gato's table for a taste of Argus Coffee Co coffee and shop El Gato branded gear.  It's a free outdoor yoga class and a great way to connect to the yoga community AND fellow animal lovers.

Interested in feline companionship, but without the yoga? Come to Houston Humane Society on October 29th at noon and join El Gato for a Cat Themed Halloween Contest. First prize wins 2 passes to the opening El Gato party and runners up will receive El Gato t-shirts. We'll also provide coffee and spooky Halloween treats. This is a family-friendly event and admission is free. Come meet ALL of the HHS cats. Yoga classes will be held before and after Halloween festivities (at 11:15 am & 1:15 pm).

On November 13th, we are hosting a mini- cat cafe pop-up at Sharespace (2201 Preston Houston, TX 77003) after the cat yoga class. We'll provide a mini taste of the cat cafe experience. Plan to come at 8 to get set-up with a tasty beverage. Admission is $8 and includes a coffee or tea beverage and an hour with the Houston Humane Society Cats.

Keep checking our calendar and follow us on Facebook, as will be adding more events. We will be hosting a Holiday themed cat cafe pop-up in December and are looking to add an art class with cats and a mewvie night with cats soon.

There are limited spaces for mini-cat cafe pop-ups and yoga classes. We recommend reserving your space early here. Please email rreed@elgatocoffeehouse.com with any questions. We look forward to seeing ya'll soon. Happy Meowlloween!
