Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to make a reservation?
We limit the number of guests in the Cat Cottage at a time and manage this through a reservation system. Reservations are highly recommended to guarantee your space in the Cat Cottage at your desired time. Walk-ins are accepted only when space is available. You can make a reservation online here. Please select the Cat Cottage visit for regular hours.
Why do I have to pay to play with cats?
In a purr-fect world, we wouldn't have to pay for rent, taxes, food, supplies, and a caring staff. That's why we depend on our guests to see the value in our mission and support our small business.
How much does it cost?
Hourly passes are $12 for adults, $10 for students (with a valid school ID) and $8 for children under between 5 and 17 years of age. Children under 5 years old are not permitted in the Cat Cottage.
Can I bring my cat?
We understand that the term "cat cafe" can seem deceiving. Unfortunately, the answer is no, we are not a "BYOC(at)" establishment. We are a space that cares for adoptable cats and we cannot allow cats from home to be brought into our space. It is in the best interest of your personal cat(s) and the cats under our care.
We are also unable to accept surrendered cats directly. In the sad event that you find yourself in this situation, we highly recommend finding a friend or family member who is able to take on the important role as pet parent or contact a local shelter.
Are the cats adoptable?
Yes, they are! We partner with the Houston Humane Society to help kitties find their furrever homes. We process the adoptions on behalf of HHS. The adoption fee is $50 and you will need to complete this application. Once your application is approved, we'll arrange for a time for you to take home your new furrever friend!
