Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to make a reservation?

We limit the number of guests in the Cat Cottage at a time and manage this through a reservation system. Reservations are recommended to guarantee your space in the Cat Cottage at your desired time, particularly on weekends between 2-4pm, as this is our peak time. Typically we can accommodate walk-ins anytime on weekdays and during most of the weekends with a short wait time possible. You can make a reservation online here. Please select the Cat Cottage visit for regular visiting hours.

Why do I have to pay to play with cats?

In a purr-fect world, we wouldn't have to pay for rent, taxes, food, supplies, and a caring staff. We depend on our guest's cover to support the cost of our beautiful facilities in the Heights, our wonderful caring staff and for the supplies and comforts provided to our resident cats. We are only able to provide this service because our customers see the value in our mission of adopting cats in a comfortable, stress-free environment and support our small business.

How much does it cost?

Passes to play are $10 for adults, $9 for students (with a valid school ID) and $7 for children between 5 and 17 years of age. On weekends the cover is for an hour. On weekdays there is no time limit. On weekdays we also offer limited cover of 15 minutes ($3) or 30 minutes ($5). We frequently offer promotion codes for discounts. Use STUDYorWORK promo code for $2 off cover when you come to study or work. Valid Tuesday-Friday. Beverages and snacks are available for purchase from our food truck cafe. Children under 5 years old are not permitted in the Cat Cottage with certain exceptions that must be approved by Management.

What is your menu?

Our full-service café with espresso and snacks is operated from a food truck located in our parking lot. Upon arrival, you will first place your order at the food truck and can enjoy your food and beverages inside with the resident cats. See our menu here.

Can I bring my cat?

We understand that the term "cat cafe" can seem deceiving. Unfortunately, the answer is no, we are not a "BYOC(at)" establishment. We are a space that cares for adoptable cats and we cannot allow cats from home to be brought into our space. It is in the best interest of your personal cat(s) and the cats under our care.

We are also unable to accept surrendered cats directly. In the sad event that you find yourself in this situation, we highly recommend finding a friend or family member who is able to take on the important role as pet parent. Please refer to Friends for Life's "Get Help" pages for information on their intake process and for other helpful resources.

Are the cats adoptable?

Yes, they are! We partner with Friends for Life to help kitties find their furrever homes. We work in conjunction with FFL to process the adoptions. The adoption fee is $95.
